Bluefaced Leicester and Masham 4ply

This 4ply yarn is crafted from a blend of Bluefaced Leicester and natural brown Masham fibres, carefully combined to create a distinctive marled effect. The naturally pigmented brown Masham brings depth, warmth, and tonal variation to the blend, giving the yarn inherent character from the outset. 

When dyed, it produces rich, layered colour, as the darker Masham fibres subtly show through the lighter Bluefaced Leicester base. This creates shades with natural contrast, texture, and visual movement, resulting in colours that feel complex and dimensional. 

In its natural state, the yarn has a beautifully balanced marled appearance, where brown and cream fibres blend together to highlight the character of the fibre blend. It offers excellent versatility, making it a strong base for both expressive dye work and understated natural projects. 

With its 4ply weight, it is ideal for lightweight garments, shawls, socks, and fine accessories, offering good stitch definition alongside a comfortable, wearable handle. 

Non-superwash – hand wash cool and lay flat to dry.
